The main SyncroSim 2023 Conference will take place Sept. 20-21 2023 (8:30 am – 4:30 pm). The conference is designed for researchers, data scientists, policy makers, and anyone interested in applying cutting-edge simulation modeling techniques to support decisions for complex ecological systems.
SyncroSim is a versatile software platform for developing, running, and analyzing geospatial forecasting models. With SyncroSim, users can build models for a wide range of applications, including models of landscape change, wildfire behavior, ecosystem carbon dynamics, species distributions, habitat connectivity, population dynamics, and more. The software allows modelers to bundle up their existing map-based simulation models – written as either standalone executables or scripts in languages such as Python and R – and deliver them in a format that others can easily use.
At SyncroSim 2023 you will have the opportunity to engage with fellow users and developers of SyncroSim packages and the core SyncroSim software. We will have hands-on workshops and presentations demonstrating practical applications of SyncroSim. You’ll also have the chance to network with peers, connect with potential collaborators, and influence future advances in SyncroSim. The conference schedule will be as follows:
- Wednesday, Sept. 20 – Presentations on SyncroSim applications (see list of invited speakers)
- Thursday, Sept 21 – Presentations and facilitated workshop on the future of SyncroSim and ST-Sim
